• Task 7: Prepare Trade Fair
  

In week 19, your hotel will be presenting itself at a Trade Fair on Monday. Week 18 is holiday, so have your preparations ready by Friday the 29th. Check this page Trade Fair for more information. This is an important fair, one which will influence your success in the game. This offers you the opportunity to present your (new ideas on the) hotel and - very important - check out the competition. Be creative, and have a look at the pictures of Trade Fairs from other competitions. All team members must participate in the Trade Fair.
To make your appearance at the Trade Fair as useful as possible, your preparations on your Team file must be ready before acting on the Trade Fair. You can do small changes afterwards.

• Task 5: Wednesday 25th February - Preparations
  

Starting day of the game, introduction and finalizing the basic set-up of the hotel.

> 14.00 - 16.00 Meet with your team, work on your team page on this platform. Be sure it is ready by the end of the day. Be sure to bring down the size of pictures or photo's to max. 150kb. Use for instance a tool for shrinking pictures.

• Task 6: Thursday 26th February (year 01) - Day of Creativity
  

On this first day, your team will demonstrate its creativity and thereby present the new hotel in a more promising strategic direction, as well as distinguishing your hotel from your competitors.

• Task 7: Friday 27th February (year 02) - Day of Calculations
  

Analyze your results, your operational costs and the key performance indicators for your hotel. On this day, we focus on management calculations. The language of the "financials" is key in the hotel sector. Further, linking these to benchmarks is crucial to keep profitability. After receiving your first results (on year 01) you need to analyze them, in order to decide on how to run the hotel in the next year.
