Regretfully, the following message just came in:

Dear Management Teams,

As you all must have noticed, the world is facing a major crisis. While the Corona virus is spreading, everybody is trying to do their part so that the virus could be managed by our healthcare professionals.

We all have to take our responsibility and that’s why also the Hotel has to shut down for at least two to three months. This has to be communicated to the stakeholders, but we also have to understand what kind of consequences it will have for the continuance of the company. We ask you to make a crisis management plan, do a press conference and make sure you think of creative ways to get the Hotel’s revenue streams going again. Good luck and stay safe!

What to do?

Well, check the assignment 29NL 6.1 Event handling and 29NL 6.2 Press conference.This will give you an indication what to do. Whatever you do keep the business perspective in mind and think of all stakeholders how they will look at this. Speed is essential as well as good and clear communications. And creativity (not in a funny way but as being outstanding) is relevant here as well.
