We want to upload another logo

We have uploaded a logo, but we have made a better one. We cannot change the name of the platform name of the picture, it seems like this is protected. If we try to upload a new one we get a message that this is also not allowed. What to do?

Yes, the platform name of your logo and teamphoto is protected, so you cannot change this. You can upload a new picture or photo. Click on the picture you want to change so it appears full size. Then click underneath the picture on the link: Upload a new version of this file. Instructions will follow there. The result will be: old picture automatically deleted and you can upload a new picture using the same platform name.

We cannot change our teampage

If we make some changes and try to save our teampage we get a message that we are doing something which is not allowed? Why?

• Our answer

Some pages are totally protected, some pages (like your teampage) you can edit but not everything on your page! Look carefully and you will see that some areas on your teampage are protected: you can NOT edit the sections between "< protect >" and "< /protect >". So you can type after the "</protect >" tag. You tried to change something else, for instance the platform name of your logo.

Renaming a page

Are we allowed to rename a page?

No, it is better to copy the content, make a new page with the right name, paste the content in it and save this new page. Then add the redundant page to the Category:Delete and the moderator will delete the page.

Can we change our password?

Can we change our password or username?

• Our answer

No, you cannot change your username nor your password. Not by logging in on the platform, nor by logging in on the decisions system. The username and the password are the same for both systems, by the way.

Deleting pages or photos

Why can I not delete pages or pictures?

• Our answer

You cannot delete these because we want to protect the whole game. No worries, there is a way, though.

If you really want to have a page deleted: remove all the content and link it to [[Category:Delete]].

So if you look at edit the only thing mentioned should be this category. This also goes for pictures; use the edit button and ad the category. The administrator will remove the page every now and then.

Have a look at Category:Delete here you can see a page and a photo which are posted to be deleted.

Rather not, please put your question here. You can, of course, with your group, experiment with this discussion system (click button discussion) if handy.

What size photos are allowed?

This platform is very stabile, but the maximum size is 100 kb, not more.

But a picture of 100 kb can still be too big (if it doesn't fit on the screen).

So the maximum size you can upload in pixels is 640 x 480! Preferably .jpg but it can be in .gif as well.

Links to Wikipedia etc.

Can we copy content from for instance Wikipedia into this platform or should we just publish the links?

Though question. Of course you can copy small parts from others internet sites and use them in your pages. But be sure to mention the source! And be sure that the information is useful in the context of this platform. And, yes, the more useful links to others internet sites, the better. And links inside the platform by means of a [[link]] are one of the goals of this platform.. These links should refer to another page which is already made or can be made example existing page and notexisting page yet.

How do I make a hyperlink?

How do I make a nice looking hyperlink? I make the link and all I see is a number 1. But clicking on this number the link does work.

A hyperlink for instance to the Emerald Forest Hotel YouTube channel is http://www.youtube.com/user/EmeraldForestHotel so http://www.youtube.com/user/EmeraldForestHotel without the brackets. It becomes prettier as follows: YouTube channel Emerald Forest Hotel so

[http://www.youtube.com/user/EmeraldForestHotel YouTube channel Emerald Forest Hotel] use brackets and a blank after the complete URL. If you just write [1] so the hyperlink within the brackets without any description [http://www.youtube.com/user/EmeraldForestHotel] after the blank you get this strange blue number 1 between bracket.

How to link a page in a category?

I have made a page and I just don't seem to get it in a category.

• Our answer

You do not do anything on the category-site: this works automatically. What you do is just put the category on top of your page, for instance [[Category:Emerald forest international]]

and it will automatically appear in the list of the category.

Be sure as a team that you link all of your pages to this category!

The words no-wiki (which you can only see when you edit) mean that this is a demonstration and that the program should not put THIS page really in the mentioned category. Of course you will omit this no wiki on your page.
