Your tasks before the gameweek
On the page Game 15DE home you can find all tasks (numbered 1 - 4) as far as possible to be done before the actual game week starts. You can finish them on Monday the 1st.
Your tasks during the game week (Feb 1 - Feb 5)
All the sessions during the game week are very instructive and compulsory (and often fun, of course...).
- Task 5: Monday 1 February (year 1) - Preparations
Starting day of the game, introduction and finalizing the basic set-up of the hotel.

1. Check your Team File and fill out in your Team File your teamname and experiment with filling in decisions. Work on your Teampage. Be sure to bring down the size of pictures or photo's used to 150kb. Use for instance the tool shrinking pictures: shrinking pictures.
2. Work on your Assignment 1 linked to the prologue, year 0. Check the videos help files on working on your teampage: How to fill out your decisions in your Team File and how to fill out your explanations, Help:How to edit your teampage, Help:How to upload a photo, Help:How to make links
3. Prepare the Trade Fair: be sure to have all things ready and set for tomorrow! Work on assignment 1 (a big one!) and look ahead to the rest of the tasks.
> 18.00 Deadline for Teampage on the platform and for your hotel's name in your Team File. You can upgrade the teampage later on, but it should be ready now.

- Task 6: Tuesday 2 February (year 1) - Day of Creativity
On this first day your team will demonstrate its creativity and thereby present the new hotel in a more promising strategic direction, as well as distinguishing your hotel from your competitors.

> 10.00 - 11.00 AGM: results year 0, instructions year 1.
> 11.00 - 12.00 Round table: “Managing Your Hotel: Communication and Media Strategies”.

1. Preparations for Trade Fair
2. Work on decisions and explanations both in your Team File via the secret link for year 01. Read the page secret link Team File and fill your decisions out. You will absolutely have to read the page decisions as to get a grip on things.
> 15.00 Deadline for Decisions and explanations for year 1
> 15.00 - 16.30 Trade Fair (Opening by Guest-of-Honour at 15.10). Present your hotel and work on your assignment on the Trade Fair. Participation of all team members mandatory.
> 16.30 - 18.00 Work on Assignment 2 and look ahead to the rest of the tasks.
> Evening: Optional night event to Monkeyz.
- Task 7: Wednesday 3 February (year 02) - Day of Calculations
Analyze the results, the operational costs made and the key indicators for your hotel. On this day, focus on the calculations a manager often has to make. "Financial language" is key in the hotel sector. Further, linking these to benchmarks is crucial to profitability. After receiving your first results (on year 1) you need to study them, in order to decide on how to react in the next year.

> 19.30 Meet in front of library to begin Bar-Hop.
- Task 8: Thursday 4 February (year 3) - Day of Managing the Company
The managing of a hotel relies heavily on the ability to communicate with customers as well as your staff, especially when exceptional situations arise. The hotel management will need to deal directly, actively and creatively with the event, as well as to take timely decisions to resolve it.

> 10.00 Deadline for Assignment 3.
> 10.00 - 10.30 AGM: results year 2, instruction on year 3.
> 10.30 - 11.30 Round table.
> 11.30 - 16.00 Resolve management issues; pricing decisions, adjust team page. Work on your assignment 4 and make new decisions!
> 16.00 Deadline for Decisions and explanations for year 3.
> 16.00 Prepare for the 3 minutes of fame, work on the assignment and look ahead to the rest of the tasks. Tomorrow is going to be a really packed day!
> 17.00 - 18.45 Film screening.
- Task 9: Friday 6 February (year 4) - Day of Promotion
On this day your team will show how to sell its services and make hotel promotions attractive through the use of internet and social media. The competitions finish today. Final results will be determined and the teams with the most profit and that were the most creative will be awarded.
> 08.00 - 09.00 Meet with your team, work on decisions and explanations.
> 09.00 Deadline for Assignment 4.
> 09.00 - 10.00 AGM: results year 3, instruction on year 4.
> 10.00 - 11.00 Team preparation of 3 minutes of fame; pricing decisions, adjust team page etc.; coaches available for feedback and questions.
> 11.00 Deadline for Decisions and explanations for year 4.
> 11.00 - 13.00 3 minutes of fame (all team members are in).
> 16.00 - 17.00 Game Final: Award Ceremony.
> 17.00 - 18.00 After the game final we kindly ask you to evaluate the game by filling out the handed out questionnaire; it helps us to further improve the game! Please also help to clean up the place before leaving the premise.
> 18.00 All participants meet for dinner together (optional)
