Building a website

You have been working on the new concept and strategy for almost two years now. However, the hotel's website is still lagging behind tremendously. Now is the time to give it a serious workout. Matching all the other choices, the spirit of the times, the house style, your strategic choices, at responsible costs, etc.

Situation

The website EmeraldForestHotel.com as it is still 'visible' now is very old-fashioned and just bad. It is no use to you trying to upgrade this one. So you make a new one from scratch.

Goal

Making a hotel website for your hotel, matching the strategy of your hotel and having a number of features hotel websites need.

Task, deliverable

You are allowed to use a template (Wix, Wordpress, Myshop etc) as long as you adapt it to your hotel. Make it as realistic as possible and be sure it is visible live and without restrictions.
Focus more on content and house style an menu, rather than on techniques. Beware of IP rights!

Assessed elements

  • Is the website live and working?
  • Does it have the right link to the corporate identity?
  • Is it creative?
  • Does it have most elements a hotel website has?

Handing in

  • Be sure the website is public
  • Be sure anyone with a link can access it without any login (!)
  • Copy the link (only the link, not the document or content) to your hotels Team File tab Year 1-2-3-4 in the row 47: additional information for your coach
  • You work in the cloud: no need to save (done automatically) or hand-in your Team File. Just be sure it is ready, well before the deadline.

Furthermore, all other relevant information for your coach is welcome in this cell as well!
