Promotional proposal

This is your assignment four of year four in combination with your 3 minutes of fame.

Task

Develop a Special Weekend Offer for the “65+” OR for the “romantic weekend” target group.
Be specific in the details of the package:

  • the definition of your target group as your offer is designed
  • the customer offer (price, activity program, menu, time, duration, type of room…)
  • devise a slogan or “ad-line” to announce the offer to customers
  • the medium(-s) of communication used to reach potential customers
  • the resources necessary to provide the offer (personnel, estimation of costs, other)
  • explain how your promotional effort supports the positioning or re-positioning of your hotel business
  • how does this matches your activities in the 3 minutes of fame?
  • what will, concrete, be the planned follow-up after the 3 minutes
  • how could you measure the result of the 3 minutes related to the goals in a concrete way?

Write in a concrete and serious way as to show knowledge on the subject.
This document should be handed in by mail again. You can prepare the biggest part of this document before the 3 minutes so you can easily work it out at the end of the 3 minutes. Make sure you decide on who is going to do what tasks.

ROI

Very important in a commercial company is the ROI, return of investment of things done. So if you write the promotional proposal pay special attention to this. You pay attention to the goals, but it means look also at the costs: not only spendings but also hours.
The same goes for the goals or results: pay special attention to accountability of them: what are possible measurable results and which other results are more soft? But still try to make the soft results calculable as well.
